It’s not an invasion from the Columbus Zoo, but rather more than 100 Italian exotic cars and motorcycles of all vintages that will roar on to the corporate campus for the fifth annual Italian Gathering. The event is the largest gathering of exotic Italian cars and motorcycles in the Midwest, according to event organizers. The show welcomes Italian motor vehicles and motorbikes of all types, including Ferrari, Maserati, Fiat, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, De Tomaso and Pantera, as well as Ducati motorcycles. The Countach was the first Lamborghini to introduce scissor doors, and the V-12 vehicles continue to appeal to collectors throughout the world for their performance and extreme design, event spokesman Michael Perrine said. A 1987 Lamborghini LM002, with a low production number of 300, is a four-wheel-drive Countach V-12-powered all-terrain vehicle, affectionately referred to as the “Rambo Lambo. With a body made of light, but very strong, carbon fiber and Kevlar, the F40 was the first road-legal production car to break 200 mph, Perrine said. read more
